Warrant of Fitness (WOF)
A warrant of fitness (WOF) is an official New Zealand document certifying that a light motor vehicle has passed compulsory periodic inspection of safety and roadworthiness.

Light motor vehicles first registered after 1 January 2000 must undergo a warrant of fitness annually and older vehicles are required to test every 6 months.

A vehicle must meet certain criteria in each category to pass the Warrant of Fitness. It is illegal to drive your car without a valid WOF at all times.
